SUMMARY
You receive a stackunderflow error message when you print a Publisher
publication as composite CMYK in Publisher 2003
When you try to print a Publisher publication as
composite cyan-magenta-yellow-black (CMYK), you may receive a
PostScript error message similar to the one of following:
%%[ Error: stackunderflow; OffendingCommand:
exch ]%%
Stack:
50
-or-
%%[ Error: typecheck; OffendingCommand: mul ]%%
Stack:
255
These problems may occur when you run a
PostScript file through Adobe Acrobat Distiller or when you try to
print directly to a color PostScript printer.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if both of the following
conditions are true:

The publication contains either BorderArt
frames, imported Windows Enhanced Metafile (EMF) graphics that
have transparent borders, or both. |

The printer driver is configured to convert
grayscale graphics to PostScript gray
|
SOLUTION
To resolve this problem, turn off the
Convert Gray Graphics to PostScript Gray
option. To do this, follow these steps:
1. |
Quit Publisher if it is running. |
2. |
Click Start, and
then click Printers and
Faxes. |
3. |
Right-click the printer that you trying to
print to, and then click Properties. |
4. |
Click the Device
Settings tab. |
5. |
Change Convert Gray
Graphics to PostScript Gray to No. |
6. |
Click OK.
