Registering and Changing Keystroke Programs

The following procedure can be used to program a new Keystroke Program or overwrite an old one.

You can register the following items in Keystroke Programs:

1Make the settings you want to register in the program.

The procedure for programming differs depending on the items you want to register.

Press the [Clear Modes] key to cancel programming.

To register a program using Send Later with the fax number “0123456789”, press [0], [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9] using the number keys, and then continue doing the Send Later setting until the standby display appears when you press [OK].

2Make sure that the machine is in facsimile mode and the standby display is shown.

If the standby display is not shown, press the [Facsimile] key.

3Press the [Program] key.

4Press [Program].

When no programs are registered, proceed to step 5.

5Select a program number in which “Not Programmed” is shown.

If you make a mistake, press [Cancel] and select a program number again.

When you change a Keystroke Program, press [Yes] after pressing the program number you want to change. If you make a mistake, press [No] and return to step 5.

6Enter the program name, and then press [OK].

If you make a mistake, press [Backspace] or [Delete All], and then try again.

You should register the program name.

To cancel a program, press [Cancel]. The display returns to that of step 5.

7Press [Exit].

The standby display appears.

Note

  • Use the same procedure to register and change programs. In step 5, select the program number you want to change.

  • For the maximum number of Keystroke Programs you can register, see “Maximum Values”.

  • For the maximum number of characters you can enter for a program name, see “Maximum Values”.

  • For the maximum number of destinations you can register to a Keystroke Program, see “Maximum Values”.

  • The method of registering or changing programs for the copy function is different from that of the fax function.
